A drunken dare sees Laura Anderson sign up for the Club Spectrum Auctions. A night of kinky sex with a real Dom is just what she needs. It was never meant to be with Slade Douglas, the only man she's ever loved. The man who'd left her standing at her parent's grave, and fled the country without an explanation.
Fifteen years her senior, Slade had thought her too fragile and innocent for the lifestyle then, and he made a promise to her brother to leave her alone. This time he cannot walk away, especially as Laura is not the innocent girl he remembers. She has grown into a beautiful woman willing and able to gift him with her submission, and their chemistry cannot be denied.
As he explores her boundaries and pushes her further than she has ever been taken before, Laura flies, but their painful past may prove one obstacle too many.
There's only one thing Slade can do…

Auctioned to the Honorable Dom may be a quick read, but the way Doris O'Connor wrote this short novel lacks for nothing. There is a complete story packed into it and it leaves you knowing the main characters inside and out.

Laura is a sub looking for a real Dom, and finally finds him through an auction - but what a surprise for her when it turns out to be Slade, who is the person she's had a crush on since she was a child! Their reconnection is sweet and swift, with both of them finally learning more of what pleases the other. More importantly, they start a healing process that can only end in something good.

Slade is indeed Honorable, in both action and profession (I love the twist on words here!) and shows Laura, or petal, as she is known as a sub, exactly what a true Dom is like. Pain with him melds with pleasure, and vice-versa. She's pushed to her limits, but he knows exactly just how far. Then there is that all-important aftercare, which a few 'BDSM' authors seem to disregard entirely. Follow through and finish, right? It's how it should always be done.

Laura knows her heart is proven right when Slade treats her the way she'd been craving. He knows how to take her in hand, and she trusts him not only with sex and scenes, but also with letting him know the experiences she had gone through while he was away. It's a beautiful dynamic petal has with Slade, and a more perfect D/s partnership would be hard to find.

Doris O'Connor has created such a wonderful story with the first of the Spectrum Auctions series. I especially like how the ending both becomes a cliffhanger and the introduction to the next book! I definitely need more...
