Review
My Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Stars

(1) Spencer Marshall was done moping. After catching her boyfriend cheating with his secretary, she decides to have a girl's weekend in Vegas with her best friend Ryan. Lady Luck must be looking out for Spencer, because that weekend will change her life forever. Despite what people say, not everything stays in Vegas.

(2) From the moment she first saw him running on the treadmill next to her, Spencer Marshall had fallen head over heels in love with Brandon Montgomery. After Spencer has a near-death experience she would rather forget, they do their best to move on with their lives, leaving their past behind them.

Thankful for a fresh start and eager to move on with her life, Spencer focuses on helping her best friend Ryan Kennedy plan her wedding. Everything seems to be going as planned when someone from Brandon's past reappears. Can Spencer and Brandon survive the coming days as they struggle to deal with ghosts from the past?

(3) After walking in on her cheating boyfriend, fate led Spencer Marshall to the love of her life, Brandon Montgomery. Now, she has a wedding to plan. With hope that the demons from their pasts will finally leave them alone, Brandon and Spencer look forward to growing old together.

Just as things are finally looking up, an unexpected houseguest arrives and stays much longer than expected. Will their love be strong enough to overcome the bad influences of their new roommate and the emotional aftermath of dealing with the trial? And when an unforeseen tragedy strikes, can Spencer finally have the happy ending she deserves?

Love at first sight? Second chances? Soul mates? Kimberly Knight puts them all together in her B&S Series. Spencer and Brandon feel the tingles of attraction from the first time they set eyes on each other but the time or circumstance is never right and it becomes a long-distance crush until a fateful trip to Vegas pushes the crush into something else.

From an erotic encounter in a club to a whirlwind relationship, Brandon and Spencer don't doubt that they're meant to be. Despite trouble with past relationships and problematic family members, they're determined to be together. Drama brings them even closer and makes them stronger than ever.

Happy ever after? But of course! Would you expect anything else?

I did, though. I expected a series that would grab me, suck me in, and grudgingly spit me out. Don't get me wrong. The B&S Series is beautifully written. There's just the right amount of drama, no over-the-top, unbelievable erotica, and an ultra-romantic relationship. All the elements of a good love story. But somehow, it left me dry. And I have no idea how that happened!

Is this a good series? Yes. Did I have any problems reading it through? No. In fact, I read all three books in two days. They weren't boring at all.

So what is my problem?

It felt like I was just talking to somebody relating a couple's story to me. Period. I was standing outside their window, watching everything going on. I wasn't actively involved.

But, would I recommend books by Kimberly Knight? Yes. There is definitely more to be heard from this author, simply because she writes very, very well. The gift is there, and it's an obvious one. Keep it up!
