After reading Frangipani Kisses from this anthology, it was impossible not to get tempted to continue on reading more stories that were surely designed to be the perfect read just before bedtime. Here is the rest of the eARC review for this amazing anthology.

WHISKEY WISHES by Anna Martin

Jim lives in Kilbeggan, a small town in Ireland with a whiskey distillery, but not by choice. He had left the small town to the greener citified pastures of  Dublin but recession forced him back. Fortunately, the distillery not only offered him a job, he found that despite all, he loved said job. His only problem: being gay was not that accepted by small town mentality, and that sort of pushed him back into the limited closet.

Aiden is an artist and just started living in the room above the pub where Jim's sister, Brigitte, worked. By description, he was one dreamy looking guy and being an artist, this romanticized his image somewhat. When Aiden first bumps into Jim, well the sparks flew, somewhat. The only problem is, Jim liked him too.

But so did Brigitte.

The hide and seek that went on in this story only increased the chemistry-like reaction between the two men. As their romance and relationship developed, Aiden found himself staying with Jim more and more until they finally just moved in together.

The problem was Brigitte. And the rest of Jim's family.

FLICKERS by Tia Fielding

Benjamin was in denial. He did not really want to admit he was gay for whatever personal reasons he had. He denied liking the looks sent his way by other men, its true, but not really admitting it verbally. He did mind getting looks and being stared at by a ghost. Standing over his bedside.

Benjamin finally decides to take the bull, err ghost, by its horns, hmmm doesn't sound right. Anyways, he takes matters into his own hands and with the assistance of said ghost flickering lights and all, he searches the world wide web for a death. When the answer was finally found, it was not something Benjamin expected. Neither did he expect to find his own happiness at the end of the day, in the arms of a man.

CLICK YOUR HEELS THREE TIMES by Blaine D. Arden

A fairy tale story of a prince and his lover separated by angst and drama. When Prince Theo continued to deny General West's need to advance his political influence and personal power through Royal family membership, never did he think that the man the Queen trusted as a friend and confidante be the same to betray them. Separated through dark magic, he needed to escape the alien forest world he was sent to. He not only needed to get back into Wystan's arms, but he needed to knock a bit of sense into that General.

What was it his mother said about clicking his heels?

CHARMED by MJ O’Shea

Kelly was the bar Cosmic's head bartender. He was not only reliable and trusted by the management to care for the clients and to make sure that no cheating was done under the table, he was also known not to fool around. When and if he did, he took it out from the bar and any bartender under him knew better to bring boyfriends in. But Kelly wanted a relationship. He was tired of the game, even if his work dumped him in the middle of all the goings on. He wanted the Cosmic hit that could only be read in fairy tale romances. Never thought he would get hit by Cupid's arrow right in the middle of his heart. Luke was not only unexpected, he was everything Kelly hoped to have for a future but fought so hard to deny.

TORCH by Kit Mullender

Jem was a doctor and he worked hard. Sometimes too hard. Getting home Thursday nights was his one consolation of the week, when all he needed to do was open his window and listen to the mesmerizing sound of a Jazz singer singing his heart out with only a piano to accompany him. He needed that voice, his work was great but complications from Elias Constantine, the hospital's head pharmacist, was not making things easier. Sure, the guy was attractive but once he opened his mouth or eyed Jem with laser beams... no. Just. No. That is, until Jem and friends from work decide to go to the same Jazz bar by his apartment and the voice through the window sits on a stool and starts singing. Finally, he has a face to go with the voice.

MILES TO GO by B. Snow

Joe's life was crumbling. His wife had left him after telling him that he was gay. He. Was. Not. Gay! Hey, she was the only one he ever loved and they had a beautiful and endearing son together. To prove he was straight as straight can be, Joe agrees to a stupid deal: go on a man date set up by his wife or divorce. He chose to go the dating way but first he needs a sitter. When Danny walks in through the door, there were no insta-lust-sparks going on. Joe was too deep into his own troubles. As date after date end in complete fiasco, Joe found himself opening up to his dynamic sitter. And that, as they say, was when the fun began. But not the fun you are thinking, so get that mind out of the gutter peeps!

Each of these stories are as different as different could be, but they all have one thing in common: a dream-like feel that is both comforting and exciting at the same time. These stories are not meant to send one to erotic land, but sends them off to a dreamy state of romantic googiness. Not once did I find myself flipping through one story to skim or to skip over. Each one had its own beautiful, and sometimes, mesmerizing, tale to tell. All of which are great reads to take to bed.

Time for fun before bedtime!
