eARC Review: Guns n' Boys: Book 1, Part 2 (Guns n' Boys #1.2) by K.A. Merikan

K.A. Merikan is a joint project of Kat and Agnes Merikan, who jokingly claim to share one mind. They finish each other's sentences and simultaneously come up with the same ideas. Kat and Agnes enjoy writing various kinds of stories, from light-hearted romance to thrillers. They love creating characters that are not easy to classify as good or evil, and firmly believe that even some villains deserve their happy endings. It is easiest to find them in galleries, good restaurants and historical sites, always with a computer or notebook, because for Kat and Agnes, every day is writing day. Future plans include lots of travel and a villa on the coast of Italy or a flat in Paris where they could retire after yet another crazy venture, only to write more hot homoerotic stories.
Kat and Agnes started as popular authors of online serials written in their native language, but are now focused on reaching a wider readership by writing in English. As K.A. Merikan, they have published a number of books, which cross genres while always staying homoerotic.

We have always valued the feedback we receive from our readers, so if you have any suggestions, comments or questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

Guns n' Boys: Book 1, Part 2 (Guns n' Boys #1.2)
by K.A. Merikan

Guns n' Boys needs to be read in order. This is the second part of book one.

--- Love is sour like a Sicilian lemon. ---

The Family is always right. The Family doesn’t forget. The Family pays for blood in blood.

Domenico Acerbi grew up in the shade of Sicilian lemon trees ready to give his life for the Family. Ready to follow orders and exceed expectations. A proud man of honor. When Seth, the younger son of the Don is kidnapped, it’s Domenico who is sent to get him back. The man he finds though, is not the boy he knew all those years ago. Lazy, annoying, spoiled, and as hot as a Sicilian summer.

Seth Villani wants nothing to do with the mafia. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get a say when the Family pulls him right back into its fold after his mother’s death. Thrown into a den of serpents otherwise known as the Villani Family, Seth has to find a way to navigate in the maze of lies. But when Domenico Acerbi, the most vicious snake of them all, sinks his fangs into Seth, the venom changes into an aphrodisiac that courses through Seth’s veins.

Domenico knows his life is about to change when he gets the order to train Seth up to the role of future Don. Seth isn’t made for it. He isn’t even made. But a man Domenico knows he would never have to fear might just be someone he’s always needed.

If Seth is doomed to follow in his father's footsteps, he might as well enjoy himself--with the most intoxicating man he’s ever met. Maybe he can even fool himself into believing that Domenico isn’t a handsome sociopath who kills for a living.

My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars
Better Than Delicious!!!!

I never expected this one. After reading that first book, Guns n' Boys (Guns n' Boys #1.1), I thought these authors could go either way: downhill or better. Well, this is WAAAAYYY better than that first and I thought that was good. This is not only delicious, this was a fantastic, high-action read!

So we get more of the story that is the killer Domenico Acerbi and the don't-wannabe-Don Seth Villani. This book opens where the first book ends and boy, Seth is in a whole lot of trouble - of the hetero-marriage type. He gets married off by his father and the wife is a sweet young thing who does not know that her husband is really in love with another man. Should her father find out, not only will Seth get killed off, but the family would be in the middle of a mafia war. Decisions, decisions. Priorities have to be considered.

Now Seth not only has to deal with a sweet, young wife, but he has to deal with a jealous (he claimed he was not) Dom. He needs to prioritize: that word again! and failure to do as everyone asks or expects of him drives him to be a little bitchy. As for Dom, he is not one to say the words out loud, but he is jealous (he's got to admit it) and he is falling deeper in love with Seth (he's got to admit this sometime).

Then the plot twists, and turns, and the action goes on the up and up and up and... okay, got to let go and breathe! Wow!!!!! Wow!!!!! Wow!!!!! That was exhausting... I looked to the email the author sent and they warned me: 'No peeking to the last pages!' Oh Man! They know me so well!!! Okay, I did not but when I reached the end, just as the action got too much for me to bear and the doubts came rushing in: THE END!!!!!!???????????????????????

Ohhhhhhh..... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 2015????

Seriously? **stompsfeetinfrustration**

Oh yes: Recommended!!!! grrrrrrr
