Marly Miles has been happy in his life as a lone Omega wolf, living and working among the humans of Orlando, Florida. When an attack on him and his friend brings Marly to the notice of the Sergeant of Arms of the Epitaph's Motorcycle Club, he realizes immediately that the man carries the same scent as his attackers. Not a very good start when the same man is also his mate. Alpha wolf, Trent Beaumont has spent a lot of years living as a human when he walked away from his home pack. Forced to live as a straight man, because of the Epitaph's club culture, he walks away from Marly after checking the man is safe. But no wolf, not even an Alpha, can refuse the mating call from the Fates. But with his President looking over his shoulder, and a woman panting after him to share his bed, Trent isn't sure it will ever be the right time to claim his own Omega.
Fights, misunderstandings and a lack of communication aren't the only problems Trent and Marly face. Trent has a history that has clouded his judgment and when Marly gets attacked again, Trent realizes he could lose his mate permanently, if he doesn't get his head out of the sand.
Warning: Contains one hot biker, a beautiful twink with a sassy mouth, and a ton of misunderstandings. Graphic m/m sex, violence and strong language.

Trent Beaumont, as the Sergeant of Arms of the Epitaph's Motorcycle Club, had a lot to live up to and hide from. As a gay were, his being in an MC known for it homophobia is not a thing. When one of his men beats up two civilians he should not have reacted but he did, especially when he smelled not only an Omega, but his mate.
Marly Miles works with humans but is a were. When he gets beat up just for breathing the same air as the homophobic bikers, he had to pretend not to be strong enough to fight back. His human friend did not fair out so well. When an alpha wolf smells him up and camps at his door, he has no choice but to let the man in, especially when fate intervenes and makes said man his mate. A were who just happens to be closeted and member of the MC that beat him up.
This is not a good way to start a relationship. There is a whole lot of misunderstanding going on, a whole lot of violence and stupidity for no reason going on, and the advances of a woman who thinks she is god's gift to mankind going on. Desperate much?
In any case, this was an interesting read and the story is just the first of the series. The characters I met in this read are definitely going to have their own fifteen minutes of fame and I am curious about what happens to them. They are already here, and the damage has been done, I am curious hooked once more.
I am satisfied as the following elements in my mental checklist are present: paranormal shape-shifters, bikers, alpha male, twinkiemenwithbackbone, violence, and mayhem. What I did not like was the over-zealous advances of a woman who was lower than low and attempted to make a mess out of my men. Then of course, the end was quite anti-climactic. Otherwise, all is good and I would love to read more.
