Published: September 29th 2015 by The Romance Authors
Cover Designed by: Jay Aheer

Two men with a shared history and a mutual attraction must be honest with themselves and each other so both their dreams come true.
Quiet, unassuming Tanner Sellers spends his time running a diner in Hope, Arizona. Not particularly social, twenty-two-year-old Tanner keeps to himself and enjoys his simple life, but he longs for someone to call his own. In his most secret fantasy, that someone is sexy Steve Faus. But Steve is his friend’s father and mentor’s widower and therefore off-limits.
Despite some challenges, thirty-nine-year-old Steve Faus has had a good life. He’s extremely successful at work, has a great relationship with his college-age son, and lives in a wonderful town. Eighteen months after losing his partner, the one thing Steve lacks is someone to share his life. If Steve is honest with himself, that someone is the young man he has known and cared about for years. Steve and Tanner want one another, all they need is a little push in the right direction to make both their dreams come true.

My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars

This is a May-December Romance and color me tickled pink while reading this. Let's just say, when CC decides to write a story to make the heart throb... thud thud thud... oh yes :D

Tanner is twenty-two and running his own diner left to him by mentor, Jesse, whose son, Mike, is his one best friend. Tanner is quiet, shy, and had harbored a huge crush on Mike's father and Jesse's widower, Steve, since he was sixteen.

Steve had loved Jesse from the ripe old age of nineteen. Twenty years later and now a widower, he realizes there are some things in his new life he has to change or lose out on a chance. He had cared for Tanner for a long time and is now ready to move on.

What does it take to get these two together? A little push is all it takes but from whom and how?

If you want to read a book where your face splits into a grin to an almost painful point from start to finish, this is it. The way Tanner and Steve got together and how Steve had to reach down and deep to figure out how to woo Tanner, that was almost hilarious if it were not so cheesy romantic in the best, dark chocolate way. I mean, seriously, yummmm!

Tanner, he is no typical twenty-two year old. His life story made him mature beyond his years so maybe that is why he is who and what he is right now. His life decisions are seen from eyes wide open and even if he deprecates himself to the point where I just wanted to shake him to realization, he is very logical. He does not question his feelings, just makes sure to hide them for fear of how it would be seen by others. That Steve returns his appreciation and feelings, that was surprising to him and more than welcome. If only the 'buts' did not haunt him too much, then again, they should, otherwise there would almost be no angst to this read.

You want to feel good? This is the book for you. Sweet, romantic, and erotic, this was read in one sitting.

Warning: Do Not Read In Bed When Sleepy!

Note: Stand alone, even if second book to series.
