It’s been a long shift for Detective Vincent Pasquale. Back at his desk at the station he finds a phone message from his vampire spouse, Mark, waiting for him.“Hi. I figured calling your station phone number was more secure than using a cell. Listen our friend Dexter found something about who may have tried to frame Jean-Claude. Turns out that there is a lot more to this thing! It’s big. Jean-Claude and Jaime are meeting me here before we all head over to see Tortego at his offices. We should be there in a half hour and we figure this meeting will run most of the day. If you can join us fine but if not I’ll tell you about it later after your shift is over. Call me.”A few moments later a report comes into the station about a possible terrorist bomb explosion at a Midtown office building. No survivors are reported. To his horror Vinnie realizes the bombsite’s address is the exact location of Tortego’s offices. In a panic Vinnie rushes to the scene where, out of nowhere, he is shot from behind by an unknown assailant. Its’ four funerals and a wedding, as the newest Julian book unfolds.
Ever since she heard the news about Jean-Claude’s demise she had been a seething volcano. As always, Viola sought to vent her rage with some sadistically erotic intimacy. Luckily the sex demon was available for that purpose. She grabbed a nearby sex toy to use on the handsome model. “If you won’t man up I will,” she growled as she flipped Dale onto his stomach, strapped on the toy then violently yanked his now kicking legs apart. As Viola forcibly mounted a now even more vigorously yelling and struggling Dale, her anger cooled. She gave Dale a few well-aimed slaps on his ass causing the sex demon to cry out. “Stop squirming or you will get more of this upon this ass of yours.”
“Just don’t hurt me,” Dale moaned. By now he was feeding off both her anger and her intoxicating sexual heat. “Sweet goddess. Peg me if you want but keep control of your actions.” He spread his legs farther apart and ground his crotch into the bed. “Yes,” he gasped as he felt his arousal growing.
Whoever killed my love will regret it. I’ll shred him or her with my bare claws, Viola silently vowed as she continued her aggressive physical sexual assault on her now highly stimulated and cowered bed partner.

My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars
The Mark Julian, Vampire P.I. needs to be read in order so it makes sense and when you do, then you'll realize why I love every installment. It just gets better, the mystery deepens and the danger is upped. In this installment, someone makes an attempt on his life. Again. Like this is nothing new really for there is just something about Vinnie that many people cannot tolerate. Make that his incredible skills as a detective and his getting too close to solving a mystery that has been plaguing this series.
Another set of characters I've been following is the romance between Jean Claude and Jaime. They are pregnant and their baby is something the paranormal world is afraid of and wants destroyed. Their story is the next best thing to this series.
There's quite a lot going on here and again, the loose ends left open in the fifth book are answered, but not all. When something is solved, another opens and the mystery deepens. The suspicion points to Tortego and since the begining, he's not been as inocent as he pretends or looks to be.
This is a mystery and as such, you need to pay attention to detail. The answers surprised me as they were unexpected but yet it was logical. I truly enjoy this series and hope the book seven can reveal more secrets.

About the author
L.G.Fabbo-Gonnella is a resident of NYC. He has often said Manhattan is the underlying unspoken character in many of his books. “I guess it’s a love affair that I have with her,” he once said. “I could live here forever and yet still find magical things about her that I never knew existed.”
When not seeking out interesting new locales for his books he can be found dinning with friends and enjoying all the city he adores has to offer.
Though he has not yet met the supernatural denizens of NYC, he does hope too one day. And yes, there is a “letter Lounge” albeit under a different name.
