Review: Frankie & Al by Sue Brown

Frankie & Al

My Rating: 4 of 5 Stars

Dumped by his boyfriend, Frankie Mason goes out with the girls, gets totally trashed, and ends his night by falling in front of a taxi. He’s rescued by a man with beautiful green eyes who takes care of him until he’s put into an ambulance. Frankie curses himself as he realizes he doesn’t have the man’s phone number. Still in pain a few days later, he is dragged out to a club only to be saved by Green Eyes once more. This time, he isn’t letting the man go.
Unfortunately Frankie has to attend a team-building exercise, nicknamed Womb Weekend, organized by his company. Al is working so he doesn't mind, until he discovers who the team leader is. Al has a lot of explaining to do!

This was a really, really fun and short read for me. It was witty, it was romantic, naughty at times, and just plain entertaining.

The opening segment sent me laughing and really I should not have. It was a really, really bad situation after all but it was Frankie's mental diarrhea that kept me snorting. He really took his dumping seriously but then with a flip of his queenie self, he enjoys the night to the max and ends up getting helped out by a gorgeous man he could vaguely remember and finally ends up calling as Green Eyes.

When he decides to join the wild girl bunch night out in a gay club, lo and behold, he steps and gets hit and gets rescued by who else? Why - it's Green Eyes himself. But this time, he does get some details and that is the beginning of more adventures between Frankie and Al - erm, sorry - Green Eyes. It turns more interesting when the weekend team-building seminar Frankie is obliged to attend is led by none other than Al himself.

This was really a blast to read. It took me a very, very short time to read from beginning till end and their story was sweet and erotic and quite naughty at times. There is a lot of stuff that can lead to more naughtiness between these two men so I guess we will see more of them. Well, I hope I do! I really want to know more about what happens after that ending.

For those of you who like a little bit of fun and naughtiness in their light read novellas, this is definitely a good choice.
