Review: Timber Pack Chronicles (Timber Pack Chronicles #1) by Rob Colton

Timber Pack Chronicles (Timber Pack Chronicles #1)
by Rob Colton
Published March 1st 2014

My Rating: 5 of 5 Stars
The object of Parker Montgomery's crush is big man on campus Colton Butler, who is much more than he appears to be.
Colton has been watching Parker from a distance, patiently waiting for the day when he will finally be able to claim his destined mate.
When Parker is threatened by a rogue wolf, Colton's instincts take over and he finds that his actions have consequences that threaten to tear his pack apart.

This was soooooo GOOD!

A friends pointed her finger and said: read it! So I did and wow, this was totally unexpected. This was light, romantic, erotic, funny, and the action was very graphic.

Timber Pack Chronicles was published online, for free viewing and reading, back in 2011 and now, it is finally released for a very, very nice price and it was oh, so worth it.

This is a story about a shifter community mingling in secret within whole and predominantly human communities. The humans have no knowledge of their presence and life is just plain normal. Within this normality are the young shifters who go to school with the young humans and live the life as youngsters do, including the usual angst of the young and the ego-centrism accompanied by their invincibility syndromes. It is all normal.

Last year, a young man transferred into the school and soon became top dog. Colton Butler is his name and he has a secret that only a few know. One of those secrets is Parker Montgomery.

Parker is a slightly built young man and is gay. He suffers from the usual bullying that many find amusing, but is really not, and he is crushing on Colton, a huge hunk of a teen who just sets his teeth to grit and his heart to thump. If only Colton would look his way.

Well, Colton did look his way and wow! did he LOOK! What Parker knows is that this boy is finally his, he doesn't know how, he doesn't know why, but he is his and he is not asking questions. Thing is, all should be nice and rosy. Unfortunately, it's not.

There is a stalker, you see, and Parker is within its sights. This stalker is aiming for the kill. In the meanwhile, there are others to stalk. And to kill.

This is not so much a romance as it is a full blown unfolding story of how a young shifter can come to terms with his fate and be an alpha in his own right. He has a mate and pack to protect but he is young and still finding his way. The good news is, he is a bad ass alpha male and this may just be his ticket to success. Or failure....

Rob Colton has told an ever evolving tale of what the shifter world can be from the youngsters' points of views and it is intriguing and very, very hard to put down. The visuals are quite graphic at times and it may cause the reader to cringe, but that just adds to the appeal of this story.

My question is, where is book two? This was published way back in 2011 and I know the author has more up his sleeve and has released newer stories. I am desperately seeking for that second installment as I cannot wait what happens next to these young men of the Timber Pack.
