My Rating: 4 of 4 Stars (based on Short & Light Read Category)
Dear Author,Being a cowboy is the only life I’ve ever known and I wouldn’t change that for anything. Running the ranch keeps me too busy to be lonely but at night, when I’m lying in bed waiting for exhaustion to take me, I can admit I wish there was someone there beside me. Then you pranced into my life in response to a housekeeper wanted ad I posted online. You are nothing I expected and everything I need. My opposite in every way, your softness to my strength, your sass to my gruff, and yet we just fit. I’m stubborn and set in my ways, but I know I can be your happy ever after if you give me a chance. How do I convince you to be mine?
Photo Description: A cowboy stands alone in a grassy field, a saddle dangling from his grip by the saddle horn. He stands comfortably, feet apart and shoulders wide. He is looking down, his dark hat obscuring his face and throwing shadows over one shoulder. He is bare-chested, sporting an impressive upper body physique; he is wearing only belted jeans and boots. A river, some brush, and a wooden fence can be seen in the distance.

We have two total opposites for a romantic team here. On one side we have Cliff - Gruff. He is quite the stoic cowboy character who was closeted but out and romantic but not. On the other side we have Troy - Prancer. Just like a prancing queen, he dishes, he cooks, he sings, he just reminded me of Amy Adam's character  Giselle in Enchanted.

Which makes me believe that this is a total parody of all things MM with a whole lot of cowboy lovin'!

And it seriously worked! Surprise! Surprise! It worked!

This was a hilarious read and quite noisy too. As I said, Cliff is gruffy quiet so the one that makes all the noise is Mr Prancer himself, Troy, whose inner dialogues was textual diarrhea at its best. He made up stories left, right and center, had a whole lot of loving with household tools, and tangoed on the hardwood floors cleaning it sparkling when the song ends. Exhausting to read? Yes! Funny and ridiculous all at once, and I.

Loved this.

For those who like parodies and romance between polar opposites, this is the best read. It's free so go at it!

****Oh! Big shout out to Adrienne Wilder! Great cover!!!!

Edited: I had to edit this as author Jade Crystal was kind enough to point out I got my characters shifted bwahahahahhaaaaa
