Nico Jaye is a fan of all things HEA and has dragged her romance collection along for her moves from San Francisco to Los Angeles to Chicago to New York and back. She thinks reading is awesome and loves that she can hang out night after night with crinoline-wearing debutantes, brawny firemen in suspenders, and werewolf shifters with Scottish brogues. An overall feline enthusiast, Nico secretly (or not so secretly?) adores Hello Kitty, cat GIFs, spontaneous traveling, pretending to be crafty, emoticons, hot menfolk, and parenthetical statements (not necessarily in that order). After starting as the pitcher for Team Awesome (literally) and visiting places like South Africa, Oman, and Fiji, Nico discovered that letting the boys in her head tell her where they want to go could actually be the most exciting journey of all.

He's Just Knot That Into You is a very fun read, and quite fast and easy on the brain too, so for that alone, I loved reading this. For the plot, well, it's the regular shape-shifter with all the usual elements present and accounted for. The twist is that no shifter can shift until their mate is nearby and to add more twists, they have to find their mate. Not through sense of smell, or through taste, but they have to get to know all the possibilities and figure out, which one is the right fit. It's a bit confusing to be a shifter, in this story, and it is not all fate giving away all the secrets by the simple scent we are used to having.
Now, Jon and Tanner's story is really a story and it was very enjoyable to read how they fenced with each other. They gave each other clues without realizing it and maybe that is why they totally missed the whole picture busy as they were trying to look at each and every element of the possibility.
There were a few things that made me tilt my head to wonder like Jon's vegetarianism which was thoroughly discussed at one point then completely ignored and never discussed again once he shifted. I wanted to find out how he was taking his new meat eating needs. Another is the suddenness of the ending. I really missed something that happened in between one point and the end.
I could honestly say, I really loved this story and I wish author, Nico Jaye, could have expanded on the story more and just gave me more to bite into. Otherwise, if you are looking for a fun and romantic read with the major elements of a shape-shifting romance, then this is definitely the one to pick up.
