Logan Perry was offered a job caring for an elderly lady a thousand miles from his home in Iowa. Looking for a place to hide, it seems to be the perfect opportunity to escape. So Logan runs to Texas. All he wants is a roof over his head and food in his stomach. So moving into the amazing McFarren Manor he believes is all he needs.

Bradley McFarren is only looking for someone to care for his aging grandmother. Too busy with the family multi-billion dollar real estate firm, he just doesn't have time. With no personal life to speak of, Bradley has kept his heart safe. As long as Gail, his beloved grandmother, is cared for, he thinks it's all he needs.

But what both their hearts truly desire is a place to belong.

So begins the journey of a love that will not be denied; a love bigger than the state of Texas.

My Rating: 4 of 4 Stars
(Based on Short&Light Read Category)

I truly, truly love reads that make me smile from start to finish. At the end of this one, especially, I giggled in delight. I don't think I've done that for a long time for usually my reads are full of angst and trials and tribulations—they are emotionally draining.

A Place To Belong belongs on my short read favorite reads now. It is a story that is light, entertaining and very romantic. I just felt the heart thump with this one, in a very good way. As the blurb says, this is a story of two men who knew each other, were friends albeit one worked for the billionaire, and shared a love for an aging and ailing grandmother who wanted to set to rights the life she would soon leave behind.

This is not a tear-jerker although it did make me tear up. This is not an anxiety-inducing read, although I truly wanted to kill, strangle, kick the butt of a certain character. This is not a fairy-tale, although it really is.

Recommended for those who want to read something light and romantic for once, as a change from all the angst, fury, and bigotry.

I really love this one.
