My Rating: 4 of 4 Stars
(Based on Short&Light Read Category)

I've set my eyes on Carnal Twilight for some time now. Not because of the blurb, I have to be honest about that. It's more because I got intrigued by the thought of a prequel getting released before the actual series. I think you know what I'm trying to say here. Who does that?

I read this in half an hour. Yes, it was that short a read. But they were a great thirty minutes lost in a mystical world where two people meet each other by chance and spend a moment of splendor in each other's arms. Their brief foray by the banks of a magical pool was enchantingly erotic and romantic, and yes, it does set the heart to flame. So why the 4 stars?

One of my criteria to rating a story is how the words bring me to a different world. This one, it hurtled me into a magical and fantastical world in ways I never expected. The scene was dramatic, the words were lyrical, and for some reason, this reminded me of Swan Lake.

Bren and Ciara's lives are changed in this one brief look into the Crimson Realm series and I cannot wait to read more about how they get together as a couple. I also would like to know more about the dryons.

Highly recommended for those who like erotic romances.
